Douglas Elia
President, Montante Construction
With over 25 years of construction experience, Doug Elia began his career working as a carpenter’s helper and demolition laborer before joining LPCiminelli as a project manager in their General Contracting division. While at LPCiminelli, Doug worked his way up to executive management before joining Montante Construction as President in 2014. During his tenure, Doug has managed projects totaling over $500 million and is known for his leadership, emphasizing safety and quality on jobsites and completing projects for customers on time and within budget.
As President of Montante Construction for the past ten years, Doug has secured notable clients such as Fed Ex, Amazon, NEXgistics, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Coca-Cola, Dunn Tire, Pine Pharmaceuticals, Evergreen Health, IMA Life North America, and T-Mobile, highlighting the company’s broad range of expertise. With a focus on growth and broadening Montante Construction's capabilities, in 2021 Doug spearheaded the acquisition of Tedesco Construction Services, a leader in the design and construction of pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB). He also had the vision of establishing a self-perform team, which further strengthened Montante Construction’s capabilities by providing demolition and carpentry services to its clients.
With a degree from Clemson University, Doug began his career in the construction industry in 1998. Since then, he has become a known leader in the community through his involvement as Chairman of the Board for the Niagara USA Chamber of Commerce, and Vice Chairman of the Construction Exchange of Western New York.
