A small renovation with a huge impact
In 2018, Montante Construction designed and managed a renovation to the lobby, welcome desk, patient registration and waiting area at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
Project Overview
A few challenges Montante faced during this project were working within a limited budget, not disrupting current operations, and keeping the area clean and free of debris throughout construction. This was an active hospital that could not be shut down during the process, so Montante had to strategically work around their daily operations, limit disruption, noise and dust and maintain a safe environment for patients and hospital employees.
While the project was only 1,500 square feet, the impacts on this redesign were huge for patient experience. Montante designed a new layout to provide better way finding, better security, better solutions to patient privacy, and we selected finishes that fit in with their brand, current hospital sanitation standards, and within their budget.

The place that should be the most welcoming looked pretty tired, so we talked about enhancing the information desk. I was able to get some financial support and then started looking for someone who can manage the project on a shoestring budget and still make an elegant space and Montante Construction came to the forefront.
