Project Overview
The project's scope included comprehensive exterior masonry restoration, the installation of new copper gutters and downspouts, window restoration, and painting. The deteriorating Medina sandstone walls of the front porch were meticulously deconstructed, labeled, and safely stored while the foundation and concrete slab of the porch were rebuilt. Restoration also included the sandstone porch walls, the front door, and the tongue-and-groove wood ceiling of the porch. Additionally, the Sheriff’s Entrance storefront was replaced, and the existing stone and brick were thoroughly cleaned, revitalizing the building's appearance. Montante Construction completed the project in August 2023, while keeping the Jail and Justice buildings operational throughout the restoration.
