Project Overview
Once interior demolition began, Montante Construction had to work through extensive water damage and major structural issues, including floor leveling and wall shoring, to retain as much of the original integrity of the building.
The first floor of 616 is anchored by Niagara University and a retail café space, with the upper two levels consisting of 17 residential units. Renovations included new storefront windows on the first floor to replicate the original design while upper floors received new windows in the existing openings. The original brick was also re-pointed and repaired where necessary, a new roof was installed, and the overall structure stabilized.
